The “peak” for birth defects that has officially been linked to thalidomide matches perfectly the period of highest activity for atmospheric nuclear tests (the first article published to link birth defects with thalidomide was in 1961). They involve a lot of alpha emitting nanoparticulates falling out (90% of the U235 / Pu239 in a nuclear bomb does NOT fission at detonation and is spread away).

Here is an extract I take from a medical research article by Schmitz-Feuerhake, Busby and Pflugbeil (Environ Health Toxicol 2016, 31), I underline :

The most significant global incident in terms of human exposure has been the atmospheric nuclear testing fallout which peaked between 1959 and 1963. It was this testing which worried Muller [1]. The tests increased the rates of neonatal and infant mortality in the US and the UK [80,81]. An interesting insight comes from a Canadian study of CM during the fallout period. le Vann [82] was concerned to examine the link between congenital malformation and the use of the drug thalidomide. He found that in Alberta there was no relation between the use of thalidomide and congenital birth outcomes but noted a strong association with precipitation; areas with high radioactive fallout had high levels of birth defects. Whilst we are not alleging that thalidomide does not have teratogenic effects, since many females in the le Vann study who never took any drugs gave birth to the typical “thalidomide spectrum” babies it seems that exposure to the fallout may have, as Muller [1] feared, have caused an effect. Ignoring this and the infant mortality findings involved a Error Type 3.

As I have demonstrated thoroughly the huge effect of variations of natural radioactivity on birth defects, cancers, Down Syndrome, autism, schizophrenia and other illnesses (the European Commission said it “will refer” to my work on the subject), and given the many other sources of exposure to alpha emitters, I can claim without doubt that Thalidomide had no link with the birth defects that were in fact solely the product of fallout from the atmospheric nuclear tests, and that the drug was deliberately used by public authorities as a scapegoat.

At the end of the 1920s the “Radium Girls” who got cancers because of their work got compensated by tribunals. But this was before the military use of radioactive materials. In 1972 an official work manual for the Y12 plant that was being managed by a private company under a governmental contract pointed out that depleted uranium fires present a “radiological” hazard (as opposed to a chemical, as authorities wishes you to believe) and that in the vicinity of uranium fires “appropriate respiratory protection” is required.

Le pic de malformations congénitales qu’on attribue à la thalidomide correspond parfaitement à la période d’activité maximum en essais nucléaires atmosphériques. Ces essais correspondent à de grandes retombées en U235 et Pu239 (90% du matériel fissile d’une bombe atomique ne fissionne pas lors de la détonation mais est diffusé en aérosol).

Un article de Schmitz-Feuerhake, Busby et Pflugbeil (Environ Health Toxicol 2016, 31), que je cite dans la version anglaise ci-dessus, mentionne notamment des pics de malformations en Alberta qui ne correspondaient pas du tout aux mamans ayant consommé de la thalidomide, mais aux zones exposées à d’intenses précipitations ; les zones recevant beaucoup de retombées radioactives avaient beaucoup de malformations, ce qui conduit les chercheurs à suggérer une erreur des chercheurs ayant accusé la thalidomide.

C’est en fait pour moi certain : la thalidomide est un produit chimique, non radioactif, les dégâts sur le corps humain ne peuvent être que beaucoup plus faibles qu’un émetteur alpha dont l’énergie de désintégration endommage très fortement les cellules environnantes du fait des tirs alpha. Mon travail montrant des variations évidentes dans la prévalence des cancers, malformations, autisme, trisomie 21, schizophrénie, et beaucoup d’autres maladies graves, suivant les seules lignes de la radioactivité naturelle (variable en fonction des régions) a été reconnu par la Commission européenne qui a déclaré qu’elle “y ferait référence” à l’avenir (courriers en milieu de page sous la version en anglais de cet article). Il est évident que la thalidomide a été utilisée volontairement par les autorités comme bouc émissaire pour ne pas attirer l’attention du public sur les tests nucléaires atmosphériques.

Rappelons que dans les années 1920 les “filles du radium” qui ont eu des cancers à cause de leur travail ont obtenu des indemnisations des tribunaux américains ; mais c’était avant l’utilisation militaire des matières radioactives. En 1972 un manuel officiel de travail de l’usine Y12 où l’on manipulait l’uranium appauvri sous contrat avec le gouvernement des Etats Unis reconnaissait que les feux d’uranium présentent un risque “radiologique” (et non chimique, comme essaye de le faire croire les autorités) et qu’un “matériel de protection respiratoire adapté” était nécessaire à proximité de tels feux…
