It is by following a video from ATE Chuet that I decided to take a look at the data on depleted uranium in the January 2024 strikes on Yemen. Looking at satellite data on depleted uranium expelled atmospherically (DUex) was to me the proof I was looking for. Indeed on January 14th there is a clear peak around western Yemen that is visible by satellite.

Look well for the yellow peak, in the second image I have underlined it by avoiding winds and picking a location outside of the peak.

This confirmed to me what I saw by looking at the video. Data coming from the designation pods of the Typhoon fighters showed a clear blurring after their strikes, this blurring comes from the shuriken nature of depleted uranium (I have a peer reviewed paper on that), which foils lights and creates… well, blurring typically from the shattering of photons by these U238 atoms, shaped like shurikens.

This was also confirmed by plume data. The pictures show a plume that scatters partly horizontally, on the sides, after strikes recorded from the US fighter jets F18.

This is more significantly confirmed by data showing the heavy plumes stalling above the soil after waves of strikes :

The second image also shows a plume clearly stalling above the soil and not rising fast.

All that together with the satellite data discussed at the beginning is a clear confirmation that depleted uranium was used. It’s also interesting to note that France wasn’t participating and I’ve discussed in earlier blog posts how France has not only stopped its use of DU several years ago (2020) but also undertook cleaning missions abroad using the Fermionic subcritical condensator technology to gather DU dust and make the environment more liveable where they had a responsibility in the use of DU (Mali, Libya, Syria). It’s hence very clear that France refused to take part because DU was to be used, and I have received a confirmation of that from elsewhere.

Let’s also note that I have checked Israeli strikes in Gaza ; while a big atmospheric cloud is visible on October 27th it actually comes from Egypt, levels are higher above Egypt than near Gaza. At no point of the operations is a peak like the one shown above for Yemen visible in satellite data for Gaza and video records of Gaza also show how the soil remains clear, without dust blurring the images. All the data indicates that Israel doesn’t use depleted uranium, as usual.
